KEY ACHIEVEMENTS

As Fire Chief:

  • In the first year as chief, recruited 31 members with a retention rate of 84%

  • After a year as chief, an internal morale assessment showed 100% of respondents would recommend working at LTFD and an overall mood toward the department of 9 out of 10, 10 being 'Very Positive'

  • Directed and supported implementation of the Community Risk Reduction and Community Outreach programs

As Fire Chief:

  • Developed an Assessment & Enhancement Plan to immediately begin addressing morale, cultural, administrative, and operational problems to address concerns from Board of Fire Trustees

  • Second point here

  • Implemented EMS first responder program, including budget and medical direction


As start-up Administrator:

  • Directed full, ground-up implementation of a new emergency medical services ambulance district

  • Secured more than $100K of additional funding through justification of transfer of COVID funding from a participating township

As Deputy Fire Chief:

  • Created data visualization to share with line personnel that improved turnout times by 7% in a month

  • Created digital statistics tracking that automatically produced monthly reports for internal and external stakeholders
